Description
How long should a candle burn?
The rule of thumb is that candles can’t burn longer than four hours straight. After putting out the flame, the candle has to rest for two hours before being able to burn normally again. Look out for too much-moving air too close to the flame.
Why can’t a candle burn longer than four hours straight?
When you let the candle burn longer than four hours, some carbon will collect on the wick and the result will be a so-called mushroom wick. This can cause the wick to become unstable, the flame too big, or makes a smoking candle.
The best gift for any occasion like birthdays, weddings, baby showers or housewarmings.
CARE
- Don’t burn your candle in a drafty area. It can cause the candle to burn unevenly. The container will become hot after the candle burns. Do not place it directly on the furniture, you can put a coaster or tray to insulate it.
- Trim the wick down to 0.5 cm the first time you burn your candle and each burn. It will make the candle burn cleaner and last longer.
- If burning multiple candles, make sure you don’t place them too close to each other and never burn your candle on or near anything that can catch fire.
- Candles should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from electrical appliances, and never in direct sunlight.
We recommend you remove the dried flowers before lighting the candle. These are meant as decoration and can be put back after the candle-burning session. When you want to let them burn anyway, please be careful. Use a coaster for your candle.
